The Farm to Table Cookbook: The Art of Eating Locally was exactly what I was looking for–a cookbook structured to follow the seasons, with the bulk of the ingredients available at the same time at my local farmers’ market. I would have bought this book just for the colorful pictures, produce Primers, helpful ‘How to Choose’ tips, and vignettes on local farms that grow the food author Ivy Manning cooks, and her husband photographs. With Ivy’s recipes, I’ll have seasons-worth of inspiration to continue expanding my repertoire. I had the pleasure of watching her demonstrate her simple Heirloom Tomato Panzanella and sample the result at my local farmers’ market. Yummy!
